Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film, stage, and TV actress who is well-known for her performances in films such as 'The piano", "Fly Away Home,' and the X-Men. The actress entered the film industry as when she was a kid artist on 'The Piano' for which she received the 'Academy Award' for 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the age of eleven. She had not planned to pursue a career in acting, however destiny decided to change her plans. She was offered many roles following her debut, but decided to stay focused on her studies. In her teens She portrayed roles such as 'Jane Eyre,' 'Fly Away Home' and X-Men. Her character in X-Men was the catalyst for her worldwide fame. Her character was portrayed by 'Rogue' for the rest of her life,' as well as acting out the character in various sequels like X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. She has also played small screen roles, including as Elaine Goodale, in a film called 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. For this role she was nominated for her first Emmy nomination. She was soon inundated with requests for appearances in the television series. She was in "True Blood," "Flack among others.
