Lucy Lawless is a well-known actress and musician born in New Zealand. She is best known for the notable roles she played in a variety of popular television and film series, such as Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. The role was originally meant to be played by the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy because she was not able to join the filming because of illness.
