In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate 'Lorna Morello' in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a qualification from NIDA. Yael had the privilege from a very young age to work with some of Australia's top storytellers and performers, as well as pioneers within the TV, film and theatre industries. Yael has a very accomplished career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her show was critically-acclaimed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located within Bushwick Brooklyn and operates in the city to promote creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
